This is the last of the images in the series and was taken the same night the previous two were. Looking back from Canal Rocks towards Wyadup Rocks as a larger swell set came through giving the misted effect on the rocks due to the long exposure.

This was a 7 image stitch carefully timed to avoid any issues with stitching in photoshop. As those who shoot moving water and stitch will know how frustrating it can be to have a set of perfectly good images not line up due to differing wave movements. Given my lack of photoshop skills, if it doesn’t do it the first time automatically, then it gets trashed or put aside until one day I learn about masks and blending manually…

Not sure why, but the is my favourite panoramic of the series. Just can’t put my finger on why?

This is a panoramic version of the Red Burst square format.  Taken within minutes of this image.

It is very apparent in this image just how vivid red the sunset was to the right of the frame. In fact some people sitting on the rocks behind me gave the sunset a big cheer and clap when the red colour suddenly burst out.

This one is a combination of 6 images stitched together and then cropped in a 5:2 panoramic ratio to maximise the scene.

This is a good example of how the light can change over a short period of time.

In this case the red in the sunset was so intense I actually desaturated it slightly to stop it looking unreal. Hence the name Red Burst.

Once again a stitched composition of 3 long exposure images cropped to a square format.
